Twenty years in the industry, seventeen of them running my own business. I’ve devoted my work to women’s bodies and health, trained therapists, and taught in Japan and abroad.
Once you start a business, you can’t simply walk away. There are moments of joy that move you to the core, and days that ask for every ounce of patience. Being able to live through all of it is, to me, the most wonderful thing about running a business.
And yet in Japan, it is said that only about 5% of businesses last ten years. So many people let go of their dreams halfway. I believe that simply isn’t right.
I wanted a place where no one has to give up on the business they started.
The more gifted and intuitive a salon owner is, the more she tends to carry everything alone. But numbers and systems are something you can share with someone who thinks logically. You are allowed to take back time for your real work, and for learning.
Our clients’ lives, and our own lives as practitioners, are not things we have to give up on. We are moving from going it alone to growing our businesses together.
Salon Creators Club is the place for that.
